Cookie Policy
Effective date: March 1, 2026
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — like whether you're logged in — and can be used to understand how visitors use the site.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work. Others are optional and used to improve the experience or understand site usage.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| session | Essential | Keeps you logged in to your videographer account dashboard. Required for the admin and account features to work. | Session (expires when browser closes) |
| stripe_* | Essential | Set by Stripe during checkout to manage payment sessions and prevent fraud. Required for billing to work. | Varies (set by Stripe) |
| _ga, _gid | Analytics (optional) | If we use Google Analytics, these collect anonymized data about site usage — pages visited, time on site, referrer. Used to improve the directory. | 2 years / 24 hours |
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertisers.
Essential cookies
Session and payment-related cookies (set by Stripe) are strictly necessary for the Site to function. Without them, checkout and login won't work. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Analytics cookies
If we use Google Analytics, it collects aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors browse the Site. We use this to understand what's working and what to improve.
You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
How to control cookies
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies may prevent login and checkout from working.
Third-party services
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Tailwind CSS CDN — CDN providers may log request metadata (IP address, browser) in server logs.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if we change how we use cookies. The "Effective date" at the top reflects when the current version took effect.
