Cookies

Videographer.com is built to be light on tracking.

The two cookies we set

vgr_session — set only when a videographer signs in, so we know it's still you on the next page. Strictly necessary: without it there is no way to stay signed in. Signing out clears it. First-party, HttpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), SameSite=Lax, and it expires after 30 days.

vgr_attr — set only if you arrive from an advert or a campaign link, and it holds only that campaign's own labels — which advert, which channel. Nothing about you, and it is never read by anyone else's site. If you go on to list your studio, it is stored with your listing so we can tell which adverts actually reach videographers; your account export hands it back to you. Arrive without a campaign link and it is never set. First-party, HttpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), SameSite=Lax, and it expires after 30 days.

That's the whole list

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics.

What we count instead

We keep counts of page views, quotes and leads, stamped to the hour rather than the second, and we don't record the page you arrived from. See Privacy for exactly what that means.

Videographer inbox links

A videographer's inbox link identifies their account; treat it like a private link.
