Information you provide — Clients

When you submit an inquiry to a videographer, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Project details you include in your inquiry message (event type, date, location, etc.)

Client inquiry details are passed directly to the videographer being contacted. We do not store a permanent copy of inquiry message content beyond the immediate delivery.

Information collected automatically

When you visit Videographer.com, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on those pages
  • Referring URL
  • Device type

With the videographer you contact (clients)

When you submit an inquiry, your name, email address, and message are shared with the videographer you contacted. This is the core function of the service. By submitting an inquiry, you consent to this sharing.

Stripe (payment processing)

Subscription fees are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment card data under its own privacy policy. We share only the information necessary to process your payment (name, email, subscription amount).

Email delivery

We use a transactional email provider (such as SendGrid or Postmark) to deliver notification emails. These providers process email addresses solely for the purpose of message delivery.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Videographer.com, our users, or the public.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your public listing is removed immediately
  • Your account data is retained for 90 days to facilitate reactivation if desired, then deleted
  • Billing records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance
